We recently had the pleasure of seeing our artwork chosen in stieg'nhaus, a boutique design hotel in the Alpine village of Mühlbach am Hochkönig, Austria.
Thoughtfully created by Tom and Maria Heidenreich, and shaped with architect Carolyn Herzog of H Kollektive, stieg'nhaus combines its central village setting with a close connection to nature, offering an all-inclusive experience where everything is taken care of from the moment you arrive. The name comes from the original stairwell at the heart of the building. It's curved walls, brass handrail, and subtle imperfections inspiring the rounded, organic forms, warm metal accents, and soft transitions that run throughout the hotel. The result is a place that feels warm and considered: a sense of home with the comfort and service of a luxury hotel.
Clear To Me Abstract CanvasAt Stieg'nhaus, this philosophy comes through in every detail. Natural materials were chosen with intention. Stone for grounding and strength, warm wood for comfort, and soft textures that feel gentle on the skin. The story continues through handmade stone basins, free-standing bathtubs, and Gessi fittings that reference the original brass handrail. Custom furniture echoes the building's curved architecture, while the restaurant features Linteloo chairs by Sebastian Herkner in bouclé and bronze tones. Combined with sophisticated lighting, these details create a calm, inviting atmosphere that feels cohesive and full of depth.

Their calm tones and natural rhythm blend seamlessly with the materials we use, stone, wood and warm metal, and create a soft balance in each suite. The selection process felt effortless, and the pieces now feel like they've always belonged here."

Force of Nature Abstract Canvas SetThe artwork choices sit naturally within the interiors at Stieg'nhaus, echoing the mountain landscape and the hotel's modern organic design. Pieces such as Always Moving, Clear to Me, and a customised small edition of Force of Nature all carry a quiet, nature-inspired feeling that reflects the hotel's atmosphere, adding gentle texture without disrupting the calm. In the Circular Suite, Clear to Me introduces subtle blue tones that complement the traditional ceramic heater and bring the space together in an understated way.
In the dining area, Meeting Point was a natural choice — its name as fitting as its setting, sitting among the Alpine peaks that surround the hotel.
