We recently had the pleasure of seeing our artwork featured in Princes Felsted, two contemporary homes in the Essex countryside designed by McGuiness + Farrow.
McGuiness + Farrow are known for creating architecturally led residences that combine design, craftsmanship, and natural materials to deliver homes that are thoughtful and considered. Their vision focuses on how a home feels to live in, with each property designed to enhance its setting and create a sense of calm through space, light, and texture.
Breaking Ground Abstract ArtAt Princes Felsted, this philosophy comes through beautifully. Set among open farmland with panoramic views of the countryside, the homes feature open-plan spaces and large glazed openings that frame the landscape and fill the rooms with natural light. Materials are chosen for their durability and connection to nature, with oak, concrete, and soft neutral tones that feel grounded and inviting. The raw finishes add a quiet sense of luxury and comfort, while every detail reflects an honest design and a care for how each space connects to its setting. It’s the kind of design that feels as good as it looks.
Join Forces Abstract Canvas Art“At Princes, our vision was to create inviting, contemporary homes that sit comfortably within their rural setting, using natural materials, soft tones, and crafted details to achieve a sense of balance and warmth. The Green Lili pieces complement this perfectly, with soft tones connecting the interiors to the surrounding landscape.”
Styled by Nina Lilli Holden, the interiors feel calm and effortless, with soft textures, earthy tones and furniture that invites a slower pace. Nina chose several Green Lili artworks that sit naturally within the design, reflecting the same sense of warmth and connection found throughout the homes.
Pieces such as Nature Flows, Unearthed, and Soothe the Soul reflect the project's calm, organic qualities, with muted colour palettes that harmonise with the timber joinery and soft furnishings. Others, like All Time High and Breaking Ground, bring warmth and depth through brown wall art inspired by nature, with rich, earthy tones that echo the materials used throughout.
Drift Off Abstract Canvas - Large“When styling Princes, I wanted to celebrate the careful consideration of materials and nod to nature within the space. Looking at natural materials, such as wood, stone & linen, I felt it was important to bring in subtle colour and texture to create a nurturing feel within the building and emulate its beautiful surroundings. With inspiration drawn from nature, the Green Lili artworks were perfect to adorn the walls and bring this concept and overall feeling together.”
Nature Flows Abstract Canvas - MediumMcGuiness + Farrow describe their vision as creating homes that are considered, thoughtful, and have a positive impact on the way people live. That idea of thoughtful design is something we share at Green Lili, taking time to create pieces that feel good to live with, complement natural materials, and bring a sense of calm to modern spaces. Princes Felsted is a great example of what happens when architecture, styling, and art come together with the same mindset. Natural, timeless, and quietly confident.
You can learn more about the project on the Princes Felsted website.
